ATTENDANCE: A reminder that if you are not able to make a virtual parade night, Cadets are to notify the office using the 'Cadet Absent Request' form located on the website under the 'Forms' tab. Only request forms received by Thursday evenings will be considered as 'excused'.
ANNUAL VERIFICATIONS
We still have 96 Cadets that have not returned their Annual Verifications. These were emailed out to all parents the week of Sep 13th. If you have already returned it - thank you.
Please ensure that these are completed and returned to the office via email NO LATER THAN 30-OCT-2020 to: 177Air@cadets.gc.ca in order for you to participate in Cadet activities.
If you are removed from the system due to not returning these forms, you will be required to re-apply to to Program.
Please include 'Annual Verification' in the subject line so that CI Flook can address these quickly from our inbox.
IF YOU ARE NOT RETURNING TO CADETS, PLEASE INFORM THE OFFICE.
COVID-19 COURSE
- A reminder that all Cadets must complete the COVID-19 course as noted in previous announcements and on the web page.
- Your Certificate MUST have your name and the date you completed the course that is automatically populated when you pass the test. [If this is missing - it will be returned to you and will not be accepted.]
- Please complete this sooner rather than later, so that you are not ruched to have this completed at a later time.

REMEMBRANCE DAY
Cadets are NOT authorized to attend any in-person Remembrance Day Services if identifying as a member of the Cadet Organization (i.e. you are not allowed to wear your Cadet uniform).
This includes school services, etc [You may attend as a civilian].
REMEMBRANCE DAY VIRTUAL PARADE (NOV 6):
We will be holding a Virtual Remembrance Day service on Friday, Nov 6th during our parade night.
- Dress Code: If your uniform fits, please wear it.
- If your uniform does not fit (or you do not have one); you are expected to wear appropriate dress clothes (collared shirt/blouse, tie (males) and pants
- The following will not be allowed: any graphics t-shirts or sweaters, jeggings/leggings, athletic wear, pants with rips/tears, etc
- Hair: should be neat, trimmed (if male above the ears) and long hair should be put up in a bun or braid.
- Cadets will be required to turn on their cameras during the parade and will be required to stand up during certain portions of the parade.
- We will be having guests attending the parade including: Commanding Officer of 402 Squadron, Air Cadet League of Manitoba representative, Prince Edward Legion #81 representative, Regional Support Cadet Unit (RCSU) Northwest officers
CADET CORRESPONDANT COURSE
Thank you to those cadets that expressed interest in this course.
Congratulations to Sgt Truong & FSgt Daly as they were accepted into this course.
We look forward to seeing your new skills in the future.
PARENT COMMITTEE ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING
The Parent Sponsoring Committee is holding their Annual General Meeting on Oct 29th.
All parents are requested to attend, as the Parent Committee will be reviewing the outcome of the 2019-2020 year and review the upcoming 2020-2021 year.
