REMINDER!
Pan-Canadian Proof of Vaccination Card Requirement
As we navigate in-person activities the Regional Cadet Support Unit (Northwest) is updating how Squadrons and Corps track cadet vaccination status.
Effective immediately we will require proof of vaccination in the form of the Pan-Canadian Proof of Vaccination Card (PVC).
Please have this ready this Friday, 03 Jun 2022.
This card is required as it shows the dates of vaccinations. We will be inputting the dates of vaccination into Fortress, our Cadet Information Management System.
Individuals who currently have a Manitoba immunization card or are eligible for one can visit https://immunizationcard.Manitoba.ca to request their PVC. It will then be emailed as a PDF, which can be printed or available digitally.
Please bring a copy with you this Friday and the information will be collected at the door by one of the staff members.
Thank you for your assistance.

Cadet365
Cadet365 is a collaborative platform for Cadets and Adult Staff across Canada. The suite provides access to familiar products like Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Planner, OneNote and OneDrive. The aim of the suite is to promote collaboration and facilitate remote work. The innovative cloud-based platform enables the team to work on both personal and work devices. This is a proven solution that balances the need to innovate and continue working with the need to maintain security and accountability.
How does Cadet365 work? After you have completed your onboarding process, you will always have access to the Microsoft365 suite on your personal or work device. You will be able to use the different apps to collaborate with your colleagues.
Multi-factor Authentication To log into Cadet365 you have to use the Multi-factor Authentication. Passwords are an essential part of staying cyber secure but they’re not infallible. Cyber criminals can use various methods to guess, steal, and compromise your passwords. Multi-factor authentication makes it more difficult for cyber criminals to access your devices and accounts.
NEXT STEPS: Over the next 2 weeks, Cadets will be receiving individual user names, email addresses and information on how to log in and access the Cadet 365 portal. For those Cadets that are offered a summer camp and are completing a hybrid course, you will need your account activated!
THE FUTURE: In September, the Squadron will be using Cadet 365 for communications, lessons, meetings, announcements etc. All Cadets will be required to utilize their Cadet 365 account moving forward when we re-start in the Fall.
SUPPLY:
We will be reintroducing the Board System
If your name is on the board your uniform is ready.
When you arrive state that your name is on the board. You will need to sign off on the items before leaving.
Please do not take uniform parts if you have not signed off on them.
If you would like to inquire about your uniform:
We will have a paper on the locker beside the door from 6Pm-to 7pm.
You may put your name (First and Last) and what you are waiting for and we will look at it on a nightly basis.
This will cut down on the face-to-face interactions/wait time for supply and also help us process requests for cadets that are in attendance that evening.
Exchange:
Please ensure you bring your old uniform parts to exchange for new ones. Please hand this to the staff.
1. They must be washed and boots blacken
2. Old rank slips and sewn-ons to be brought back to be exchanged.
3. Please have them in a bag labeled with your name and ideally the sizes you are exchanging for faster processing.
When stopping by to see if your uniform is ready please state your first and last name along with your level and sign off for uniform parts before you leave.
ABSENCES
A reminder that if you are unable to attend a class, you still must complete the Absence Request Form on the website. In addition, excused absences still count against your attendance percentage. In order to be promoted or pass your level at the end of the year, your attendance must be ≥
60%. You may be required to conduct make-up classes or additional training if you do not meet this requirement.
