Announcements

Week of Mar 6th, 2020

In this time of uncertainty, it is important for everyone to stay connected. Not only to keep up to date with Cadet activities and events, but also to keep ourselves engaged and connected to one another.

Any messages related to the activities of the Cadet programs will be communicated by our chain of command (COC) and then onto you as soon as new information is available.  At this time, COC is planning on re-assessing the Cadet Program by next Friday.

We will inform you of any changes as they happen.  Keep an eye on your email, Facebook and Instagram.

If you are not receiving the emails please email the Squadron at 177Air@cadets.gc.ca with "Add to Newsletter" to the subject line.

Facebook: 177 RCACS (Official Site) - is a closed group and you must answer the 3 questions to be allowed in.  If you are adding someone, they must also answer the questions.

LEVEL 3 & 4 - AVIATION TEST
So with the cancellation of regular parade nights for coming weeks, the Officers and staff have been coming up with some ways to keep you all engaged.
For training ideas, the Level Three and Level Fours: will still have their Aviation assessment tests to write. You can review the following in preparation.
Level one and two's, no test for you, but have a look too. some pretty cool stuff here.
Cadets must pass this assessment in order to be promoted to their next rank and level.
Level three's: The PDF is on the 177 RCACS (Official Site) Facebook page and on the Website under Cadet Training>Master Training Pan
Level four's use the link to a Flash Card format review: https://quizlet.com/380386300/flashcards
The link is also posted on the Website and Facebook.

LEVEL 3 & 4 - TEACHING ASSESSMENTS AND DRILL ASSESSMENTS

Drill Assessments - these are to be memorized.  These will also be assessed as soon as we return.
All the information was previously handed out and posted on the website.

THIS WEEK'S LESSON: EMAIL ETIQUETTE (How to send a proper email).
Below is a link to a guide on how to send a proper email to the Squadron.  We have been receiving many emails, and often they are not addressed properly or we don't know who they are from, or sent like a text message.  Proper communication is important in the Cadet program.  This ensures the email is concise, factual and is responded to by the correct person.

Please review the link (also posted on the website):  https://177rcacs.ca/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/Email-Etiquette-Training-Slide.pdf
