PROMOTIONS & ACR AWARDS
Congratulations to all the Cadets on their Promotions and the ACR Award Winners.
Promotions that were announced were all promotions that occurred since the end of February 2020. Some of the promotions may have been announced previously - we wanted to ensure that all promotions were recognized.

TRAINING
As a reminder, until further notice, all Cadets activities will be conducted virtually. No Cadets should come to Minto Armoury until we receive approval to re-start in-person activities.

The next Virtual Parade night will be determined. We are currently exploring different virtual meeting platforms. Meeting links will always be posted on the 177rcacs.ca website Calendar.

We do understand that some of you are still experiencing some difficulty joining the parade nights and we are looking at alleviating this with the platforms we are testing out.

We hope that you understand and please have patience. Not to worry, we will get through the training year, though it will look different from other years.

Until further notice, all optional training such as marksmanship, drill team, effective speaking etc, are cancelled.

COVID-19 CADET AIDE-DE-MEMOIRE
All Cadets are required to receive and read a copy of the COVID-19 Aide-de-Memoire document.

CFOne PROGRAM
The Canadian Forces Morale and Welfare Services CFOne Program has recognized that Cadets and Junior Canadian Rangers are a part of the extended Canadian Armed Forces community, and can now enjoy the advantages of the CFOne membership.

Those interested in a CFOne membership can visit: http://www.cf1fc.ca where they can complete the application form. Cadets and JCRs will require the token attached to this email to do so.

We are also pleased that we have been able to work with CANEX to become an official kit shop for the Natl CJCR Sp Gp. Kit shop items can be found at the following address: https://www.canex.ca/en/military/military-kit-shops/national-cadet-and-junior-canadian-rangers-support-group-natl-cjcr-sp-gp

ADMINISTRATION
For returning Cadets, the Annual Verification Forms are being emailed to parents.

Please review all the information on the form, and make any corrections to addresses, phone numbers and email addresses.

Please ensure there is an email address for your Cadet.

Make sure you complete Section 5 regarding the medical changes (Answer Yes or No).

Sign and date, and send back via email to:

If you are not returning please email the Squadron and let us know.

Reminder that if you are not coming to Cadets (for an in-person parade night OR attending an virtual parade night, you still need to complete the Absence Request Form on the website in order to be marked excused.
To be considered excused, it must be received by the Thursday evening prior.
