DRESS CODE
If you are not in uniform you must wear pants (no sweats, yoga pants, track pants, etc) and a collared shirt (no graphic t-shirts).
These must be in clean and presentable condition (no rips, stains etc).
No hoodies, however, sweaters may be worn (no graphics).
Hair longer than your shoulders must be worn up in a bun. No nail polish is allowed in uniform.
ATTENDANCE & LANYARDS
Starting Jan 24th, ALL cadets must have their lanyard in order to sign in for attendance. An attendance table will be set up at the front door. Cadets are to sign in for attendance PRIOR to going downstairs to hang up their coats. Every Cadets lanyard will have a bar code with their Cadets number (specific to them) that will be scanned upon entry.
If you have lost your lanyard, there is a $2 charge for a replacement to be issued.
If you have not yet received your lanyard, you will receive one when you check in for attendance.
COMMANDING OFFICER'S (CO'S) PARADE
Next Friday (Jan 24th) is CO's Parade. Cadets should be wearing their full uniform (C-1) or if you do not have a uniform the expectation is as follows: collared shirt/blouse, tie (males), dress pants, black shoes. Long hair must be in a bun.
We will be having the following guests also attending the evening:

CWO Laporte - 402 Squadron Chief Warrant Officer
Capt Jason Collingridge - TSO Section Commander
ARRIVAL & PICK-UP
Cadets should not arrive prior to 1800 hrs as the doors to the building may not be unlocked and there may not be Officers present to take responsibility of your child.
Cadets are to be picked up no later than 2130 hrs. Parents are asked to come inside at 2100 hrs to hear any announcements that are given at the end of the evening.
TRAINING
AVIATION DAY - SAT JAN 25 - MANDATORY TRAINING
Will be taking place at Minto from 0900 - 1600 hrs.

If you are unable to attend you must inform the office (please use the Absence Request Form on the website).
RECOGNITION
Congratulations to Cadet Gill, L; who showed enthusiasm and great improvement in Drill class today. Cadet Gill received a poster from the office.
LEVEL 3s
Please ensure that you are ready for your Teaching a 15-Minute Class Assessment. The Lesson Plan template can be found on the website under Master Training Plan (click here).
You must complete this assessment in order to pass your level.

SUPPLY
Next week: Level 5s that are not teaching or preparing for Aviation Day, Captain Ocran has requested your assistance in the Supply Room.
RANGE
There will be one additional Range night next Thursday Jan 23rd.
1800 - 2100 hrs at Minto in Range 2.
It will be conducted by Capt Bambrick.
PIPE BAND
PRACTICES
- Sat, Jan 18th
- Sat, Jan 25th - NO Practice
- Sat, Feb 1st
1000 - 1200 hrs at Minto.
MUSIC CLINIC (Pipe Band Members and students only)
Will be taking place on 22-Feb at Minto.
Please see Lt R Chennells as soon as possible.
DRILL TEAM
Every Sunday starting 19-Jan-2020
1300 - 1500 hrs at Minto.
Open to all Cadets interested in being on the Drill Team.
EFFECTIVE SPEAKING
Cancelled on 18-Jan due to the weather. Will be rescheduled and announced shortly.
ADMINISTRATION
Reminder that if you are not coming to Cadets please complete the Absence Request Form on the website in order to be marked excused. To be considered excused, it must be received by the Thursday evening prior.

CADET MEDALS & SCHOLARSHIPS
A reminder that the following deadlines are approaching for the following:
- MB Aviation Council Scholarship - must be submitted no later than 31-Jan (refer to the application form for where to send them to).
- Cadet Medal Applications - must be in no later than 14-Feb (to the office)
