As we restart the training year, we would like to thank the Cadets & parents all for the continued dedication that you show to our Squadron and the Cadet Program. The last several months have been challenging and we appreciate how creative and flexible you’ve been. Looking forward to seeing you all again!

CADET ACTIVITY PROGRAM - COMING SOON!
The Cadet Activity Program, or CAP for short, is a locally delivered program conducted during spring break 2021!
CAP will provide a fun, challenging, and meaningful experience for cadets above and beyond what they would receive at the local corps/squadron level.
From Calgary to Yorkton to Steinbach, and all different towns in between, the Cadet Activity Program is conducted in local communities - in fact in twenty different locations throughout the region!
The CAP is open to all cadets, though preference may be given to first and second-year cadets.
Employment opportunities will be available for staff cadets to conduct these activities.
The CAP will consist of training and activities conducted locally in a day camp format with no overnight component, bringing together cadets from local cadet corps and squadrons.
COVID-19 mitigation measures, including following all public health measures, cohorts, physical distancing, and the wearing of non-medical masks will be in place to help ensure the safety of all participants.
EFFECTIVE SPEAKING
This past summer, an Effective Communications course was offered to cadets, with over 500 participating! As a result, it was decided this program would be developed into a 5-week course, offered to all three elements. It is intended that at the end of the 5-week program, those cadets that wish to compete, will go on to the competitions that will be held virtually at each applicable level (squadron, regional, provincial), culminating with a virtual National Effective Speaking Competition which will take place around mid-June (final details will be decided shortly).
The program is planning it's roll out around the beginning of February. In January, each province will determine timelines for their competitions.
In the meantime, if you are interested in taking part in this program, please inform the office so that we can provide your names once the program is ready to be implemented.
