TRAINING:
We are resuming in-person training this week.
Due to being in a Federally-run building and the CAF requirements, we must follow the following rules until further notice (regardless of Provincial PHO):
***PROOF OF VACCINATION REQUIRED***
***MASKS REQUIRED***
***CAPACITY LIMITS***

Please ensure you review the Training Schedule for the next 2 weeks, as we are splitting up the training over 2 locations (Minto Armoury and Commissionaires Building).
The Training Schedule indicates the Levels and where they will have their in-person classes.
Click or copy/paste this link in your browser to see where your Level should be attending:  https://177rcacs.ca/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/2022_03-04_Training-Schedule_Final.pdf

Manitoba Aviation Career Fair 7 March 2022

Attached is a poster for a completely civilian event, the Manitoba Aviation Career Fair, on March 7 - just two weeks away!

The event will be open to the public from 11 am - 7 pm, at the Holiday Inn Express Winnipeg Airport (1740 Ellice).  It is free to attend, but attendees should register using the QR code.

For cadets that are really interested in aviation careers, or for senior cadets that are looking for a summer job in an aviation field, this would be a great opportunity for them to bring their resumes and talk to exhibitors that will be there.

(Please note that federally-regulated industries such as those in aviation, currently require full vaccination for new hires, therefore exhibitors have asked that attendees show proof of vaccination to attend this event.)

CADET SUMMER TRAINING/ STAFF CADET APPLICATIONS:
All cadets:
In-person and hybrid training will be offered in Summer 2022!

What does that look like?

Cadet Activity Programs (CAP)
CAP will be delivered locally for cadets in levels one and two. The programming will be managed by the Regional Commanding Officers, offering expanded opportunities for Cadets across Canada.
Cadet Training Centre (CTC) Training
Courses offered to cadets who have completed their third year of training, or higher, hosted at Cadet Training Centres (CTC). Courses range in length from 2-7-weeks and take place at  CTC locations across the country.
Cadet Advisory Council (CAC)
Following the success of the CAC in 2021, an in-person opportunity will take place in 2022 and will be hosted by the Commander, Cadets, and Junior Canadian Rangers, at two CTCs, over a six-week training period. This group will provide the opportunity for the Commander and senior staff at the headquarters to engage directly with a group of senior cadets from across the country on a variety of cadet program-related topics.
Staff Cadet Opportunities
Cadets sixteen and older may also apply for positions as staff cadets at either CAPs or CTCs in a variety of positions.

Check out the link below outlining locations, length of courses, and method of instruction.
