Reminders for Nov 22nd 2019

CADET CODE OF CONDUCT
We are still missing quite a few of these forms from Cadets. In addition, there are quite a number that were handed in without a Parent signature. Cadets & Parents shoud check with the office if you have not turned this in or didn't sign the form. This document is required to be completed by ALL Cadets and Parents.
The form can be found on the website under "Weekly Announcements"
Forms must be signed and returned to the office no later than 06 Dec 2019.

PROMOTIONS
The following promotions occurred on Fri Nov 22:
- FCpl Mendez promoted to Sargeant
- Sgt Blacklaw promoted to Flight Sargeant
- 2Lt G Chennells promoted to Lieutenant

TRAINING
AVIATION DAY (30 NOV) - ALL CADETS
Location: Minto
Time: Arrive 0900 hrs (Do not arrive earlier as the building may be locked)
Parent pick-up: 1600 hrs
Dress: Civilian clothes; no ripped or inappropriate clothing
Cadets must bring their own lunch and water bottle. Bring a notebook for classes. Cadets will not be allowed to leave the premises.

CANADIAN ARMED FORCES FAMILIARIZATION – Level 1 & 2
Sat, Dec 7; 0900 – 1200 hrs; 17 Wing (CFB Winnipeg)
Please see the handout for information (also posted on the website). This is for all Level 1 & 2’s to attend this training.If you are not able to attend you must inform the office.

TAG DAYS – Dec 14 & 15
Sign-up sheets are available. Please see FSgt McAllister to sign up. Below are a list of locations and dates/times that need a shift filled. Either sign up with FSgt McAllister or email the Squadron at 177Air@cadets.gc.ca (ensure to put in the Cadet name, location, date and time and use "Tag Days" in the subject line). This is a very important fundraiser for the Squadron. Those who did not sign up for poppy sales – it is highly recommended that you sign up, in order to spread the shifts around. We have 171 Cadets on strength, therefore every shift should be filled.

PIPE BAND
No band on 30 Nov due to Aviation Day.

RANGE
Thursdays; Minto; 1800 hrs - 2100 hrs.

PRACTICE
Nov 24 & Dec 1; 1300 - 1500 hrs; Bring your parade boots and water bottle.

Reminder that if you are not coming to Cadets , please use the 'Absence Request Form' on the website.

COMMUNITY SERVICE - FOOD DRIVE
Winnipeg Harvest Holiday Food Drive
With the holidays soon approaching, we will be sitting down at our tables with family and friends to share and enjoy a meal, knowing that there are so many around us who have far less than we do.
As part of our Citizenship program please help us continue to provide meals throughout the upcoming holiday season by donating some non-perishable, unopened items to provide meals to parents, children and seniors over the coming weeks.
Your donations can be dropped off until December 13, 2019. The bin will be located near the office.
A list of the 10 Most Wanted items is posted on the website.
Every Cadet that contributes to the Food Drive will be entered into a draw to win a prize.
