Hey parents, we need a few nominations/volunteers to join the Squadron Sponsoring Committee. The SSC is essential to the cadet program. It's also a great way to meet new people and for your children to get the most out of it as well. As the outgoing Chair, I can tell you that the experience was amazing. Additionally, I will be around for at least one more year to help with the transition.

CO’s remarks – Capt Ducharme says that we are waiting for permission to return to Minto in person. Meetings will continue to be on line. There will be a Senior Cadet workshop on October 1. Purchase requests this year include training aids, flight simulator, field wagon, cookers. The number of cadets on paper is over 150 (from 2019), although there are only 40 verifications returned so far.
ACL Liaison – Nick Paulet is the new liaison for the Air Cadet League. He is going to advise about the next AGM for the ACL (usually held on the third weekend in October). We will be advised about the registration assessment in coming weeks.
Chair’s report – Gary Robinson advised the members that this is an election year and we require a new executive. This is a two year commitment and training and support abounds. The squadron requires a Squadron Sponsoring Committee (SSC) to enjoy a full training year.
Treasurer’s report – Olga Palyenko has completed the ACC-9 and it just needs to be signed by the CO and Chair. Previous year expenses were $12,607.36 and income was $13,064.95, the bank balance is $27,829.95.

Election of Executives (Every two years)
Chair – Meets with CO and Air Cadet league Liaison, chairs parent and exec meetings, assists with fundraising, etc
Vice Chair – fills in and assists Chair
Secretary – takes minutes and assists with committees
Treasurer – Pays bills and deposits monies. Prepares annual ACC-9 report to Air Cadet League auditor.
Fundraising Chair – Coordinates fundraising activities
Canteen – Supervises canteen volunteers
Awards – Helps maintain and order awards for Annual Ceremonial Review.
Members at Large (2) – Duties as requested
NB – The election has been deferred for two weeks to October 8 at 7:00 pm.
