177 Parent Minutes – Special Meeting Minutes
Friday, November 12, 2021 ZOOM meeting
Present: Capt Bambrick, Capt Ducharme, Katy Thompson, Olga Paliyenko, Victor Rengifo, Rotimi Akinronbi, Trevor Strome, Tina Silva, Gary Robinson
Call to order 18:35 hrs by Past-Chair, G Robinson
CO: Capt Ducharme is waiting for the base commander to determine when they will allow cadets to return to Minto. For now, we are using a temporary location for limited contact.
Finance: Bank balance is over $28,000
This year’s 177 assessment is based on 159 cadets x $39 (-$8 Covid discount) + $200 squadron assessment = $5,129.00
Motion to pay - carried
LSA Target: @$7,755.00 this year. (This is based on the above number of cadets)
Capt Ducharme requested:
(4) Chromebooks @$250 each and (2) projectors @$100 each
T-Shirts with 177 crest (amount tba)

Motion to allow Capt Ducharme to make further expenditures to maximize the LSA – carried
Receipts have to be submitted by December 1. Olga is going to check how much room we have left to spend.
Squadron Sponsoring Committee (SSC) Elections: 2021 – 2023 (Sept)

Canteen – Logyn Elsayed
(Past-Chair) – Gary Robinson
We will change up the cheque signing authority to remove Olga Paliyenko, Trevor Zwarich, and Jonny Maria, and add Katy Thompson and Rotimi Akinronbi. Gary Robinson will continue to have signing authority until further positions are filled with the SSC and contact bank to notify of change.
Gary will also continue to assist with screening where needed and to notify ACL liaison, Nick Paulet, of today’s results.
