CAF Famil "Tech Talks"
The objective is CAF Familiarization (CAF Famil), which is essentially an introduction to as many (Canadian Armed Forces) CAF members in as many occupations as possible. This is the team that ensures the CAF can maintain a strong, secure, engaged national defense policy.
Every “cool job” has many other unseen team members working together to ensure their operational effectiveness. Every team member is essential, there are no “spare people” in the CAF. As these episodes are for general familiarization, they are open to all elements.
The Next upcoming Tech Talks is Thursday, 31 March 2022
Featuring Royal Canadian Navy at a MARLANT facility in Halifax. The guest presenter & location are yet to be confirmed, but the episode will be conducted from a Navy facility in Halifax.

Tech Talks is Tuesday, 5 April 2022
CAF Famil “Tech Talks” episode Tuesday, 05 April 2022, featuring an Aviation Systems Technician working on the Dash-8. This presentation is to replace the episode which lost connectivity due to a snowstorm on 18th January. AVN techs are part of the unseen team that keeps the aircraft in the sky. While we have featured AVN techs before, no two have had the same specialty. As with Army MSE Ops, there are many sub-sets of the trade. As always, the message is CAF Teamwork and culture of Safety.
